Happy Mothers Day to all of the mums!! Tiernan and Cam are meeting me for lunch today and we will get to go out for a little bit. I have not seen Tiernan for a week so I cannot wait!!
On Friday night I had a blood transfusion and felt much better yesterday. I got to go home for a few hours and spend some time with Cam (Tiernan was with mum and dad). It looks like I am over all of the infections now and chemo is going to go ahead tomorrow. The only issue I have now is that my veins are not holding up to all of the drips and they might have to put a permanent line called a PICC line in. They are going to assess it tomorrow. It is a drip line that goes in the top of your arm and stays there permanently. Apparently when the drugs go in a PICC line they are not painful which would be much better.

Hi Bernadette
Hope you had a lovely Mother’s day also with your family. I am sure being away from hospital life, even for a short while, would have have been a pleasant break.
I had a lovely day also, kids fussed over me with presents etc and b’fast we also went out for lunch to a Thai Restaurant in Parra with Mum and Stephen’s family. Food was great, we all had a lovely time Mum was quite tired though as the last 3-4 days have been pretty full on spending time away from home including a 60th on Sat night. Although she enjoyed the lunch I am sure she was glad to be home and back to sleeping in her own bed.
We have been keeping up with your blogg updates including all the info on the shave, you all look great with a number 1 makes a difference having a lovely shape head. What a wonderful effort with your $9,000 raised so far and congratulations to you all that is really an amazing achievement.
Mum is always thinking and praying for you and she regularly asks if you have been sending any updates. I printed most of the info you have been emailing including the blogg, as I thought she would appreciate having a copy to read at her own time hence keeping up with all the news.
Good luck with your Chemo treatment scheduled for today, hope it all goes well for you and your treatment discomforts are replaced with feelings of better health.
Take care, love from us all here at the Pace household. You are always in our thoughts and prayers.
Love aunty Pauline and family
